Board Bio – Ms. Sabrina Streusand

Ms. Sabrina Streusand

In addition to her service on the Communities In Schools of Central Texas board, Sabrina Streusand has served on the People’s Community Clinic, Paramount Theater, and Jewish Federation of Austin boards. She currently serves as a member of the Council for the Bankruptcy Section of the Texas State Bar and the Women’s Fund Grant Committee.

Ms. Streusand earned her law degree from the University of Texas and she is Partner in the Law Firm of Streusand, Landon & Ozburn, LLP (“SLO”). For 19 years prior to forming SLO she was a partner in the Law Firm of Hughes & Luce, LLP, in the Austin office and was the managing partner of the office from 2004 to 2007. She has over 32 years of experience representing clients in a variety of workout, collections, business, and bankruptcy matters.

Sabrina has been on the CIS Board for 3 years and believes that education and dropout prevention is the strongest weapon we have in the continuing war on poverty, and CIS is the leader in keeping kids in school. Sabrina’s dog Jasper has a long standing pen pal relationship with various children who he writes to while Sabrina is at work (he has quite a knack with a laptop). Besides writing to pen pals, Jasper loves chasing the squirrels in his backyard and is getting very proficient at it, at least according to Jasper.
